The Fellowship of CATSINaM recognises the experience and contribution of outstanding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nurses and Midwives for their excellence in improving health outcomes for the wider Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australian community. The Fellowship is awarded to a CATSINaM Member in recognition of significant professional achievement within the nursing and midwifery profession.
The Fellowship of CATSINaM is a prestigious award and will be assessed on the basis of the applicants’ professional leadership, commitment and achievements in their profession. A call for applications will go out in June/July each year. Applications will due by specified date in early August.
CATSINaM Members interested in applying for Fellowship must complete a written application addressing the selection criteria below. CATSINaM will also accept applications where a CATSINaM Member is being nominated by another Member. The CATSINaM Board of Directors assesses all applications received. All nominations will be confidential to CATSINaM and the Board of Directors, and only successful applications will be announced at the Annual CATSINaM Dinner (October/November). If they wish, unsuccessful applicants will have the opportunity to resubmit in subsequent years.
